2010 Legislative Outlook Luncheon Set For Tuesday, 12:00 Noon, November 3, 2009 
The Talbot Chamber Government & Regulatory Committee is hosting a 2010 Legislative Outlook Luncheon on November 3, 2009 at Scossa Restaurant.  Featured speakers are Senator Richard Colburn and Delegate Jeannie Haddaway-Riccio. Cost for the luncheon is $20 members, $25 guests.  Seating is limited so call the Chamber office to register 410-822-4653 or info@talbotchamber.org .

The Waterfowl Festival takes place November 13-15 in downtown Easton, Maryland, off Route 50. United Fund of Talbot County's 2009-10 Campaign Off to Auspicious Start
"The year has begun auspiciously," Ann Jacobs, United Fund of Talbot County Executive Director announced, with contributions of $200,880 received to-date, 40% of its 2009-10 $500,000 goal. State/Local Fiscal Task Force Holds First Meeting
In the shadow of large and growing state budget deficits, the Joint Legislative Workgroup to Study State, County, and Municipal Fiscal Relationships held their first meeting last week.  The legislative workgroup was appointed by the House Speaker and Senate President in order to conduct a comprehensive review of state aid to local governments and local taxing authority.
