Anirban Basu Anirban Basu, founder of Sage Policy Group, is a leading economist known for his sharp insights and sense of humor. Twice named one of Maryland’s 50 most influential people, he served as Chairman of the Maryland Economic Development Commission from 2014 to 2021. He is the Chief Economist for multiple organizations nationwide and lectures as Goucher College’s Economist in Residence. Dr. Basu holds degrees from Georgetown, Harvard, and the University of Maryland, with expertise spanning public policy, law, and health economics.

Meghan Shue Meghan brings deep expertise in asset allocation, market research, and investment strategy to the Economic Symposium. As a key member of Wilmington Trust’s Investment Committee, she helps shape the firm’s strategic and tactical positioning while overseeing portfolio construction. Previously an investment strategist at Bessemer Trust, Meghan holds an MBA in finance from the University of Miami and a bachelor’s in engineering from Princeton. A recognized thought leader, she is a regular CNBC contributor and was named to American Banker’s Most Powerful Women in Banking: Next 2022 list.
