At Leadership Maryland, we believe that building a stronger Maryland starts in our own communities. So we bring together the best and brightest leaders from all sectors, industries, and geographic corners of our state to engage on the vital issues affecting Maryland and find solutions for real, actionable change.

In the fall of 1991, a steering committee formed the idea of creating a statewide leadership program which will convene professionals from both the public and private sectors and help build a better Maryland.
 
Since that first class, Leadership Maryland has evolved into one of the most successful as well as significant statewide leadership programs in the United States. To help reflect this position, in 2015 Leadership Maryland rebranded with a new logo and tagline: The Strength Within.

Leadership Maryland makes good leaders stronger. We challenge our members to step outside of their comfort zone in order to tap into the deepest strengths and passions that will make them a force for meaningful change in their organizations, communities, and state.
