Maryland’s Time To Care Act-What Employers Need to Know Maryland passed the Time to Care Act in 2022 which requires contributions from Maryland employers with 15 or more employees. The Time to Care Act will provide Maryland employees with access to paid family and medical leave through a state-administered fund that is financed by employee and employer contributions. Employer and employee contributions to the fund are schedule to begin on October 1, 2024 and employees will be able to receive benefit payments beginning on January 1, 2026. In this session, Kaitlin D. Corey, Esq. will discuss what employers need to know to prepare for the Time to Care Act.
