Construction Estimator

What to expect:
An established Eastern Shore based Construction firm is seeking a Construction Estimator to prepare cost estimates for commercial construction work. In the role of Construction Estimator, you’ll need to have extensive commercial construction project estimating including labor, material, and subcontract costs with the ability to interpret data within the company’s construction management software.
Salary: $75,000 - $110,000 / annually

Work Location: Easton, Maryland
What you will get to do:- Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate
- Prepare estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work
- Review design options and make recommendations based on cost, engineering, quality, and/or availability of materials
- Negotiate and prepare subcontract agreements and purchase orders, archive bid results using construction management software
- Maintain organized files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, activities and communications
- Other duties as assigned
You will bring these qualifications:
Experience Level: Senior-Level Experience
Education: 2-year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or experience. 2-5 years of estimating, controls and/or facility construction related engineering experience.- Advanced knowledge of estimating techniques and cost controls
- Ability to utilize the construction management software to interpret data
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Position requires a clean driving record and ability to use a personal vehicle for travel. Mileage reimbursement will be paid.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
