Sr. Hydrogeologist

An Eastern Shore-based consulting firm is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist with strong analytical, communication, and task management skills to join their dynamic team. As the Senior Hydrogeologist, you must have a solid understanding of hydrogeological principles and practices in the Mid-Atlantic region and possess a degree in geology, hydrogeology, or a related field. Salary: From $100,000/year

Work Location: Queen Anne’s County, Maryland
Essential Job Functions:
• Perform advanced data analysis using GIS, geostatistics, statistical methods, and time-series analysis to support water resource projects
• Conduct sampling of surface water structures and support groundwater and surface water appropriation permitting efforts, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
• Collaborate closely with geologists, engineers, GIS analysts, and field technicians to deliver high-quality technical solutions
• Assess potential impacts of groundwater withdrawals on surrounding users and resources, and apply hands-on expertise in the design, construction, and sampling of groundwater monitoring wells
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Experience Level: Senior-Level Experience
Education: Degree in geology, hydrogeology, or a related field
License: P.G. license required
• Understanding of hydrogeological principles and regulatory and geological agencies in the Mid-Atlantic region
• Strong task management capabilities, including effective scheduling, prioritization, progress tracking, and maintaining organized project documentation
• Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills in problem-solving and data interpretation
• Experience with the design, construction, and sampling of groundwater monitoring wells, as well as sampling of surface water structures
Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
