About the Organization
Partners In Care Maryland, Inc. (PIC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Older Adults to age in place with Dignity and Respect through a unique culture of service exchange and time banking. Established in 1993, PIC offers neighborly, niche services, including transportation, handyman repairs, and service navigation to ensure that our communities and older adults continue to age safely, independently, and with dignity and respect in their homes.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a hands-on Site Director for our Frederick Location. A successful Site Director will comprehensively understand non-profit program management principles and community activities that impact older adults in their area and manage a social enterprise (upscale resale boutique). The Site Director must possess a strategic mindset and be able to lead and develop volunteers and subordinates. The incumbent will be responsible for the site's day-to-day operations. The primary objectives of this position are to enhance efficiency, visibility, financial sustainability, and community awareness of Partners in Care, thereby improving the service to older adults in the Frederick Community.
Reports Directly to:
- Deputy Executive Director
- CEO
Direct Reports:
- Program Coordinator
- Program Volunteers (Receptionist, Handymen, Drivers, etc.)
Responsibilities:
- Partner with upper management to develop a program and social enterprise business strategy.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and suggest solutions for financial sustainability and growth.
- Partner with upper management and community leaders to increase awareness of the services offered.
- Seek, obtain, and develop new partnerships with local community influencers to serve our members.
- Research and develop a plan to increase financial sustainability through grants, donations, and fundraising activities.
- Attend community events and business meetings outside the office.
- Travel to alternate PIC sites for training and development.
- Mentor and develop direct reports and volunteers.
- Conduct performance reviews of direct reports.
- Verify timesheets and maintain direct report schedules.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and welcoming office.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proven Leadership skills.
- Project management experience.
- Ability to prioritize projects.
- Understanding of non-profit operational management.
- General office equipment, strong computer skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills, fundraising, and community partnerships.

Schedule:
- This is a full-time, in-office position—not a remote position. The office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Upscale Resale Boutique's hours are Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
